Abstract: The impact of vocational education on regional economic development is significant for fostering local workforce skills, economic growth, and community prosperity. This study examines how vocational education programs contribute to regional economic development, focusing on job creation, industry partnerships, and economic diversification. Objectives include evaluating the economic outcomes of vocational education investments, assessing stakeholders' perceptions of vocational education's role in regional development, and identifying factors that enhance vocational education's impact on local economies. A survey research design is justified for its ability to gather data from 300 participants, including policymakers, industry leaders, and vocational graduates, using purposive sampling to ensure representation across key economic sectors in Rivers State. Case studies will highlight regions where vocational education initiatives have spurred economic growth, showcasing successful partnerships and workforce development outcomes. Findings reveal that vocational education enhances regional competitiveness, stimulates employment opportunities, and supports sustainable economic development through skilled labor supply. Recommendations emphasize aligning vocational programs with regional economic needs, fostering industry collaborations for workforce training, and investing in vocational infrastructure to strengthen economic resilience and prosperity in local communities.
