Abstract: Addressing the stigma of vocational education in society is crucial for promoting its recognition as a viable pathway to successful careers and economic mobility. This study investigates perceptions of vocational education stigma among stakeholders, focusing on its impact on student enrollment, societal attitudes, and policy implications. Objectives include assessing public perceptions of vocational education, exploring factors contributing to stigma, and identifying effective strategies to challenge negative perceptions and promote its value. A survey research design is chosen to gather data from 300 participants, including educators, parents, students, and policymakers, using purposive sampling to ensure representation from diverse socio-economic backgrounds in Anambra State. Case studies will highlight successful initiatives and campaigns aimed at combating vocational education stigma, illustrating effective approaches and outcomes. Findings indicate that stigma negatively affects student aspirations and public support for vocational pathways despite their critical role in workforce development. Recommendations emphasize public awareness campaigns, promoting success stories of vocational graduates, and collaborating with media and community leaders to reshape societal attitudes towards vocational education as a viable and valuable career pathway.
