Abstract: Addressing legal and ethical issues in vocational education research is critical for ensuring the integrity and validity of research findings. This study explores the various legal and ethical challenges encountered in vocational education research and proposes strategies to address them. The objectives are: (1) to identify common legal and ethical issues in vocational education research, (2) to assess the impact of these issues on research outcomes, and (3) to propose best practices for ethical and legal compliance. A survey research design is utilized to collect data from researchers, educators, and institutional review boards. The sample size includes 200 participants selected through purposive sampling. The case study focuses on vocational institutions in Enugu State, known for their robust research activities. Findings revealed that issues such as informed consent, data privacy, and conflicts of interest significantly impacted research outcomes. Recommendations included developing comprehensive ethical guidelines, providing training on legal and ethical standards, and ensuring rigorous ethical review processes.
