Abstract: The role of mindfulness training in reducing stress among vocational students is critical for promoting mental well-being and academic success. This study examines how mindfulness training impacts stress levels and overall well-being of vocational students. The objectives are: (1) to assess the effectiveness of mindfulness training in reducing student stress, (2) to evaluate student perceptions of mindfulness practices, and (3) to identify challenges in implementing mindfulness programs. A survey research design is employed, justified by the need to gather comprehensive feedback from students on their experiences with mindfulness training. The sample size includes 250 participants selected through purposive sampling. The case study focuses on vocational institutions in Lagos State, known for their diverse student populations and academic pressures. Findings indicated that mindfulness training significantly reduced student stress levels and improved their overall well-being. However, challenges such as time constraints and initial resistance to mindfulness practices were noted. Recommendations included integrating mindfulness training into the regular curriculum, providing continuous support for students, and promoting awareness of the benefits of mindfulness practices.
