Abstract: The flipped classroom model, which inverts traditional teaching methods by delivering instructional content outside of class and engaging students in active learning during class, has gained traction in vocational training. This study evaluates the effectiveness of flipped classroom models in vocational education and their impact on student learning outcomes and engagement. The objectives are: (1) to assess the implementation of flipped classroom models in vocational training programs, (2) to evaluate the impact of these models on student engagement and performance, and (3) to gather student and educator perceptions of the flipped classroom approach. A survey research design is utilized, justified by the need to collect comprehensive data from students and educators about their experiences with flipped classrooms. The sample size comprises 350 participants selected through purposive sampling to include a diverse range of vocational programs. The case study focuses on vocational institutions in Edo State, which have implemented flipped classroom models in their curricula. Findings indicated that flipped classroom models significantly enhanced student engagement and performance, providing a more interactive and participatory learning experience. Both students and educators reported positive perceptions of the flipped classroom approach, noting its ability to facilitate deeper understanding and retention of technical skills. Recommendations included expanding the use of flipped classroom models in vocational education, providing training for educators on flipped classroom techniques, and continuously assessing the impact of these models on student outcomes.
