Abstract: Vocational education plays a critical role in fostering entrepreneurship by equipping students with practical skills, knowledge, and the entrepreneurial mindset necessary to start and manage businesses. This study examines the impact of vocational education on entrepreneurship development and identifies key factors that contribute to entrepreneurial success among vocational graduates. The objectives are: (1) to analyze the relationship between vocational education and entrepreneurial intentions, (2) to evaluate the effectiveness of entrepreneurship training programs in vocational institutions, and (3) to identify barriers to entrepreneurship faced by vocational graduates. A survey research design is employed, justified by the need to collect data from students, educators, and vocational graduates about their experiences and perspectives on entrepreneurship. The sample size includes 300 participants selected through purposive sampling to ensure diverse representation from various vocational training programs. The case study focuses on vocational institutions in Lagos State, known for its vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. Findings revealed that vocational education significantly enhanced entrepreneurial intentions and provided students with the necessary skills to start their own businesses. However, barriers such as limited access to capital, lack of mentorship, and inadequate business networks were identified as significant challenges. Recommendations included integrating comprehensive entrepreneurship training into vocational curricula, establishing mentorship programs, and facilitating access to funding and business networks for vocational graduates.
