Abstract: Industry-academia collaborations play a pivotal role in vocational education by aligning academic training with industry needs, enhancing employability, and ensuring that graduates possess relevant skills. This study evaluates the effectiveness of these collaborations in vocational education, focusing on their impact on curriculum development, student training, and job placement. The objectives are: (1) to assess the influence of industry partnerships on vocational curriculum relevance, (2) to evaluate the benefits of industry engagement in student training and internships, and (3) to analyze the outcomes of collaborative efforts on graduate employability. A survey research design is justified to gather insights from educators, industry partners, and students involved in collaborative programs. The sample size comprises 350 participants selected through purposive sampling to include key stakeholders from vocational institutions and partner industries. The case study is conducted in Delta State, where robust industry-academia collaborations are established in vocational training. Findings indicated that industry-academia collaborations significantly enhanced curriculum relevance, provided valuable hands-on training opportunities, and improved job placement rates for graduates. Stakeholders highlighted the mutual benefits of collaborations, such as access to updated industry knowledge for educators and a skilled talent pool for industries. Recommendations include formalizing industry partnerships through agreements, developing joint training programs, and continuously updating curricula to reflect industry trends and technological advancements.
