Abstract: This research explores strategies for improving parental involvement in vocational education in Nigeria, focusing on engagement initiatives, communication strategies, and collaborative efforts designed to enhance parental support, awareness, and active participation in students' vocational learning and career development. Parental involvement in vocational education plays a critical role in fostering student motivation, academic success, and career readiness by providing essential support, guidance, and encouragement throughout the educational journey. The study aims to (1) identify barriers and challenges hindering parental involvement in vocational education, (2) assess existing parental engagement programs and initiatives, and (3) propose recommendations for promoting effective strategies to increase parental involvement, strengthen home-school partnerships, and enhance student outcomes in vocational education. A survey research design is employed to gather insights from vocational educators, parents, and educational administrators familiar with parental involvement strategies and outcomes. A sample size of 400 participants will be selected through purposive sampling to represent vocational educators, parents/guardians, and school administrators in Kano State. Case studies will examine successful parental involvement initiatives and their outcomes in promoting student motivation, academic achievement, and career success. Findings indicated varying levels of parental engagement and support, identified barriers such as communication gaps and cultural perceptions, and highlighted effective practices such as family outreach programs, parent workshops, and digital communication platforms in fostering parental involvement and enhancing student educational experiences. Recommendations include developing tailored engagement strategies, enhancing communication channels, and establishing collaborative partnerships to empower parents as active participants in their children's vocational education journey, thereby fostering a supportive learning environment and promoting student success.
