Abstract: This study promotes innovation in vocational curriculum design in Nigeria, exploring adaptive, flexible, and industry-responsive approaches to curriculum development and delivery that meet evolving industry needs and technological advancements. Innovative vocational curricula integrate emerging trends, digital technologies, and interdisciplinary skills essential for preparing students for diverse career pathways and future workforce demands. The research aims to (1) identify innovative practices and approaches in vocational curriculum design that enhance student engagement, learning outcomes, and employability, (2) assess perceptions and experiences of educators and industry experts regarding the effectiveness and relevance of innovative curriculum models, and (3) propose recommendations for fostering a culture of innovation in vocational education to promote continuous improvement, industry alignment, and educational excellence. A survey research design is justified to gather insights from vocational educators, industry leaders, and curriculum developers familiar with innovative curriculum design strategies and implementation. A sample size of 400 participants will be selected through purposive sampling to represent vocational educators, curriculum developers, and industry consultants in Enugu State. Case studies will examine innovative curriculum models and their outcomes in enhancing student skills acquisition, industry readiness, and innovation integration. Findings indicated positive impacts of innovative curriculum approaches on student engagement and industry relevance, identified challenges such as curriculum standardization and faculty training gaps, and highlighted the role of collaborative partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and adaptive learning technologies in promoting innovation in vocational curriculum design. Recommendations include fostering interdisciplinary approaches, leveraging digital learning tools, and establishing feedback mechanisms to support continuous curriculum innovation and enhancement in vocational education.
