Abstract: This study explores strategies for integrating environmental education into technical training programs in Nigeria, examining curriculum frameworks, pedagogical approaches, and sustainability initiatives aimed at promoting ecological awareness, responsible practices, and environmental stewardship among vocational students. Environmental education emphasizes knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for addressing environmental challenges, fostering sustainable development, and preparing students for careers that prioritize environmental conservation and resource management. The research aims to (1) identify effective strategies and models for integrating environmental education into technical training curricula, (2) assess the impact of environmental education on student knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors towards sustainability practices, and (3) propose recommendations for enhancing curriculum integration and institutional support to promote environmental literacy and sustainable practices in vocational education. A survey research design is employed to gather insights from vocational educators, environmental specialists, and curriculum developers familiar with environmental education integration. A sample size of 300 participants will be selected through purposive sampling to represent vocational instructors, environmental educators, and sustainability coordinators in Osun State. Case studies will examine successful environmental education initiatives and their outcomes in promoting student engagement and community partnerships. Findings indicated positive perceptions of environmental education benefits such as awareness raising and skill development, identified challenges including curriculum integration complexities and resource constraints, and highlighted the role of interdisciplinary collaboration and project-based learning in fostering environmental stewardship. Recommendations include embedding sustainability principles across vocational curricula, enhancing educator training in environmental education, and fostering partnerships with environmental organizations to ensure vocational students are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to address global environmental challenges effectively.
