Abstract: This research explores the role of social media in promoting vocational education in Nigeria, examining its impact on student engagement, outreach, and community involvement in vocational training programs. Social media platforms offer dynamic communication channels for sharing educational resources, networking opportunities, and promoting vocational education initiatives to diverse audiences. The study aims to (1) analyze the utilization of social media platforms in promoting vocational education awareness and participation, (2) assess the effectiveness of social media strategies in reaching and engaging target audiences in vocational training programs, and (3) propose recommendations for optimizing social media use to enhance vocational education visibility, recruitment, and community engagement. A survey research design is justified to gather insights from vocational educators, students, and social media managers familiar with social media use in educational settings. A sample size of 400 participants will be selected through purposive sampling to represent vocational educators, social media influencers, and vocational students in Kano State. Case studies will examine successful social media campaigns and their impact on vocational program visibility and student recruitment. Findings indicated positive perceptions of social media benefits such as information dissemination and community building, identified challenges including digital literacy disparities and content management complexities, and highlighted the role of strategic planning and audience targeting in maximizing social media effectiveness. Recommendations include integrating social media into marketing strategies, providing digital skills training, and leveraging user-generated content to enhance vocational education outreach and engagement among diverse stakeholder groups.
