Abstract: This research explores the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on vocational education delivery in Nigeria, examining adaptations, challenges, and lessons learned in transitioning to online and blended learning formats. The pandemic has disrupted traditional educational practices, necessitating rapid shifts to remote learning modalities and highlighting vulnerabilities and opportunities in vocational education. The study aims to (1) assess the immediate effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on vocational education institutions, students, and educators, (2) analyze strategies and innovations implemented to maintain educational continuity and support student learning during the pandemic, and (3) propose recommendations and best practices for integrating digital tools and flexible learning models into future vocational education delivery. A survey research design is justified to gather insights from students, educators, and administrators. A sample size of 400 participants will be chosen through purposive sampling to represent vocational institutions, students, and educational policymakers in Imo State. Case studies will examine institutional responses and adaptation strategies during the pandemic. Findings indicated challenges such as digital divide, student engagement issues, and faculty capacity gaps, alongside opportunities for innovation in online learning and flexible educational models. Recommendations include enhancing digital infrastructure, providing professional development for educators in online teaching, and developing contingency plans for future disruptions to ensure resilient and inclusive vocational education delivery in Nigeria.
