Abstract: This study investigates the influence of industry partnerships on the effectiveness of vocational training programs in Nigeria. Vocational training plays a crucial role in preparing individuals for skilled labor markets, and partnerships with industries are increasingly seen as pivotal in enhancing the relevance and quality of such programs. The objective of this research is to (1) assess how industry collaborations contribute to curriculum relevance, (2) examine the impact of industry input on skill acquisition and employment outcomes, and (3) identify best practices for fostering effective industry partnerships in vocational education. A survey research design is justified for this study as it allows for gathering comprehensive insights from stakeholders involved in vocational training and industry representatives. A sample size of 300 participants will be chosen using purposive sampling to ensure representation from vocational training institutions and partnering industries across Lagos State. A case study approach will be employed to delve deeply into specific successful partnerships, offering rich contextual insights. The findings revealed that industry partnerships significantly enhance curriculum relevance, improve skill acquisition matching industry needs, and boost employment outcomes for vocational graduates. Recommendations include establishing formalized frameworks for sustained collaboration, fostering mutual benefit through shared resource utilization, and integrating industry feedback mechanisms into curriculum development processes.
