ABSTRACT
This study was carried out to investigate the causes and effects of farmers and herders crisis in Rimin Gado local government Of Kano State. Specifically, the study aims to find out the extent of farmers and herders crisis in Rimin gado local government Of Kano State, investigate the causes of farmers and herders crisis in Rimin gado local government Of Kano State and assess the effect of farmers and herders crisis in Rimin gado local government Of Kano State. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 259 responses were validated from the survey. From the responses obtained and analyzed, the findings revealed that farmers and herders crisis have an effect on residents in Rimin gado local government Of Kano State. The study thereby recommend that There is need for viable NGOs on farmer-herdsmen crises management, especially in the areas of awareness, education, prevention, and amelioration. Furthermore, nongovernmental organizations should support livestock-centered livelihoods including cattle herding, not only in crises mitigation but also in the support of grassroots innovations and in influencing favourable national policies.
