ABSTRACT
Mental illnesses are becoming widespread and may be harmful to the sufferer and people around the sufferer. The system, Mentally, was design to aid those who suffer or are in the recovery stage of Depression. This system makes the process of seeing a psychologist in the health care facility easier. To accomplish this project, java programming language, firebase Database, XML along with the waterfall methodology was used, the Data employed in this project was gathered through the use of secondary research and conducting of interviews. Tests were also conducted to ensure good working condition of the functionalities of the system. This thesis has its focus on mental health in Nigeria and upon completion of this project based on the extensive research done, it can be concluded that maintaining and improving one’s mental health is becoming an important factor in people’s lives in Nigeria today, however there is still much work to be done to improve mental health awareness and treatment in Nigeria.
