ABSTRACT

This study investigates the impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on academic performance of students in secondary schools in Afikpo North Local Government in Ebonyi State. The three research questions were answered using simple percentage analysis while the hypotheses were tested using co-variance and two sample t-test at 0.05 level of significance. The results amongst others revealed that students taught with the use of ICT performed significantly better than those taught without ICT. The result also shows that the use of ICT in teaching and learning is not significantly affected by school location. Two hypotheses were accepted while two were rejected. Based on the findings, it was concluded that school location does not affect the performance of secondary schools students with the use of ICT.
