ABSTRACT
This research work was carried out with the view to investigate the impact of local government in the society using Ilaje Local Government Area as a case study.
The research work is divided into five chapters, chapter one works on the background of the study, the statement of the problem, objective of the study, scope of the study, purpose of the study, significance of the study, statement of hypothesis and definition of terms.
Chapter two centered on the literature review in order to provide future use with the knowledge and framework for understanding of the impact of local government in the society.
Chapter three looks at research methodology, i.e. method of data collection and analysis. The primary and secondary data were administered so as to have a successful and reliable research.
Chapter four deals with data presentation, analysis and interpretation while chapter five looks at the summary of findings, recommendation and conclusion
