Electronic information resources offer the 21st century students new opportunities that were not available to previous generations, yet large number of students leave universities without necessary skills to cope within the information-based society. Information literacy skill is essential in today’s information rich environment due to the rapid growth in information resources which comes in various media and with the advancement of information communication technology. Although studies have been carried out to investigate the difficulties students encounter when using electronic resources which could attribute to the fact that they lack search skills for exploiting resources, thus making the level of use of resources very low
