ABSTRACT:- This study was carried out to assess the knowledge, attitude and practices of women towards family planning services. Specifically, the study determined if women are aware of family planning, determined the various types of family planning known by women, determined the sources of information about family planning and, examined the negative attitude of women towards family planning. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 141 responses were validated from the survey. The study adopted the the theory of reasoned action (TRA) by Ajzen and Fishbein (1975 & 1980) and the Theory of Planned Behaviour (Tpb). From the responses obtained and analysed, the findings on the various types of family planning known by women include pills, injectables, condoms and, IUCD. Furthermore, the findings revealed that most women are aware of family planning. The study recommends that contraceptives such as pills should be made available at a cheaper rate by health care providers in order to make women purchase them.
