Waste management has been important since time immemorial. With the unprecedented increase in population worldwide, especially in Sub Saharan Africa, waste management has been vital for good health, good environment and aesthetics of its towns and cities. The research intended to study solid waste management as a tool for revenue generation in Rivers state; a case of solid waste management projects in Rimawa, Rivers state, the research design is a descriptive survey. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire which were administered personally, via e-mails, enumerators and pick them after they have been filled. The data was then coded and analyzed using the SPSS version 20.0. Chi-square tested the hypothesis. 99 questionnaires were administered to the respondents with a return rate of 91%. The study concludes that the SW projects in Rimawa, Rivers state just like any other in the rest of the world have led to jobs creation in the area and other surrounding environs.
