ABSTRACT

The study examined the women education: problems and implications for family responsibility using female in selected secondary school in Suleja Niger State as case study. The study adopted a survey research design and with the aid of convenience sampling method 120 participant who female  student and teachers in selected secondary school in Suleja in Niger State. Data was analyzed in frequencies and tables using  simple percentage. Hypothesis test was conducted using T-test statistical tool (SPSS). Findings from the study revealed that there is a statistically significant difference in between parent‘s socio-economic supports on women education in Nigeria, this is because student from rich home have access to education more than those from poor background. However  the result of the study concludes that there is no statistically significant difference between  giving  women education and hindering them from family responsibility. The study therefore recommends that The policy makers in education need to develop practical oriented mechanisms targeted at ensuring equal access to education for women and and taking particular account of the situation in rural areas. This can be achieved through the following ways: ensure that women who dropped out of school because of family responsibilities are provided with opportunity to complete their education and ensuring full and equal participation of girls and women in extracurricular activities and school facilities, such as computer or vocational classes, or business management training; and as well ensure equal access, for girls and boys, to physical activities, recreational and sport classes, run both at and outside of school.
