ABSTRACT

This study was carried out to examine the role of effective administration in the rapid social-economic transformation of Nigeria using Kaduna State Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy (KASEEDs), Kaduna State as a case study. Specifically, the study was aimed at identifying the role of Kaduna State Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy in socio-economic transformation; evaluate the impact of effective administration on socio-economic transformation; and identify the problem of administration and proffer possible solution to overcome such problem. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 20 responses were validated from Kaduna State Ministry of Economic Planning. The study adopted the modernization theory. From the responses obtained and analysed, the findings revealed that Effective administration in KASEEDs has significant impact on national development. The study therefore recommend The government of Kaduna State should endeavour to close up the loop holes in the proper implementation of KASEEDs and ensure proper and adequate monitoring system in its execution.
