The research design employed for the study was a correlational survey. A sample of 500 SS II students were used for the study. This sample was randomly drawn from a population of 10,790 students. The instrument for this study was a structured questionnaire developed by the researcher and students’ cumulative academic assessment scores SCAS in mathematics and English language for 2012 session. Mean and Standard deviation were used to answer research questions one and two while Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient was used to answer research questions three, four and five.  Multiple regression analysis was used to test the three null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance.  The research findings, showed that a higher percentage of in-adolescents experience low pressure while lower percentage of adolescents experience negative peer pressure.  Based on the finding that there exist low peer pressure among in-school adolescents, trained counselor should be posted to all the secondary schools so as to help counsel few adolescents with negative influence.
