Newspapers, as a mass medium remains one of the major carriers of information and current happenings around the world. However, Newspapers are largely or seemingly understood to be synonymous with news stories. This study on “the newspaper coverage of the PDP crisis at the national level” seeks to examine the newspaper coverage of PDP leadership crisis at the national level in Nigeria from the time of the crisis till June 12, 2017 when the Supreme Court withdrew Ali Modu Sheriff as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party and reinstated Makarfi as PDP chairman to bring an end to the crisis that rocked the Party.
