Background of the Study
Ancient road networks in Sapele offer a unique perspective on historical connectivity and socio-economic interactions in Delta State. These networks, revealed through archaeological surveys and remote sensing techniques, indicate sophisticated planning and regional integration in pre-colonial times (Oluwole, 2023). Statement of the Problem

The scarcity of comprehensive surveys and the absence of interdisciplinary studies have resulted in fragmented interpretations.
