ABSTRACT
This research is based on the effect of inadequate infrastructural facilities on the academic performance of pupils in public primary schools in Abeokuta north local government area. Simple random sampling techniques was used in selecting the schools and respondent for the study. The participation consisted of pupils in each school and it is made up of 185 pupils in each school. A descriptive research design was adopted for the study. A questionnaire titled “Effect of inadequate infrastructural facilities on the academic performance of pupils in public primary schools” was prepared and used to collect data for the study. The data so collected through the questionnaire were analysed using simple random method analysis. It was suggested among others that a specific percentage of educational budget should be made available for provision and maintenance of the school infrastructure in order to reverse the trend of lack of facilities in the educational sector.
