Background of the Study
Quantum computing is poised to revolutionize various industries, including information technology, finance, and healthcare. However, its adoption is hindered by a lack of awareness and understanding, especially among professionals who are key drivers of technological advancement. In Nigeria, the level of awareness of quantum computing among IT professionals in polytechnics and universities is relatively low. Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State, provides an opportunity to assess the knowledge and understanding of quantum computing among IT professionals and identify the factors affecting its adoption.

Quantum computing offers numerous advantages over classical computing, particularly in fields such as data processing, cryptography, and machine learning. However, for Nigeria to fully harness the potential of quantum computing, it is crucial to increase awareness and provide relevant training to IT professionals. This study will investigate the level of quantum computing awareness among IT professionals at Federal Polytechnic, Bida, and explore their attitudes towards adopting this emerging technology.

Statement of the Problem
