Background of the Study
In recent years, universities have faced increasing pressure to improve operational efficiency and decision-making processes. Traditional administrative systems often rely on manual processes, which are time-consuming, error-prone, and inefficient. The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into university administrative systems can enhance decision-making by providing data-driven insights and automating routine tasks. AI-based Decision Support Systems (DSS) can help university administrators make informed decisions regarding resource allocation, student management, academic scheduling, and budgeting.
At Bauchi State University, Gadau, Bauchi State, the current administrative processes are primarily manual, leading to delays, inefficiencies, and increased workloads for staff. An AI-based DSS could optimize these processes by automating repetitive tasks, providing real-time analytics, and offering predictive insights to support strategic decision-making. This study will investigate the design, implementation, and effectiveness of an AI-powered Decision Support System in enhancing the administrative processes at the university.
Statement of the Problem
The administrative processes at Bauchi State University, Gadau, are hindered by the inefficiencies of traditional systems that rely on manual data entry and decision-making.
