Background of the Study
Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based grammar correction tools have become increasingly popular in enhancing students' writing skills by providing real-time feedback on their written content. These tools leverage natural language processing (NLP) technologies to detect grammatical errors, suggest improvements, and offer explanations for corrections. In secondary schools, the use of AI-based grammar correction tools can help students identify common mistakes and learn from their errors, thus improving their writing over time.
In Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area, Kebbi State, secondary school students face challenges in mastering grammar and writing skills due to limited access to personalized feedback and writing support. Traditional methods of teaching writing often focus on broad instruction, which may not address the specific needs of individual students.
