Background of the study
The recent phenomena of email-overloading in daily life and business have created new problems to users. It becomes a personal headache for users because they have to process a large number of daily received emails. Also, it is a financial issue because the user checks and read for large amount of email messages needs long online communication connection. Therefore, there is a practical need for developing a software assistant to facilitate the management of personal and organizational emails and to enable users to complete their jobs or tasks smoothly [LiZh19]. Agent systems have been proposed as solutions to the problem of information overload, particularly regarding email and internet searches. Most of the current implementations aiming to ease the burden of dealing with email are text classifiers or keyword extractors, often working as email client plug-ins [AbMc21]
An email client, email reader, or more formally mail user agent (MUA), is a computer program used to manage email. Specifically, the term email client may refer to any agent acting as a client toward an email server, regardless of it being a mail user agent, a relaying server, or a human typing on a terminal. In addition, a web application providing message management, composition, and reception functionality is sometimes considered an email client [Par18].
The mail, sometimes known as the post, is a means for physically conveying papers and other small goods, as well as the name given to postcards, letters, and parcels. Mail is also the official system for collecting, carrying, and delivering mail and goods. Private or public postal services are available, while many governments impose limits on private mailing systems. National postal networks have traditionally been formed as government monopolies from the mid-nineteenth century, with the charge on the article prepaid. Postage stamps are commonly used as proof of payment, however postage metres and bulk mailing are alternative options.
The terms "courier" or "delivery service" separate modern private postal systems from national postage services. Postal authorities frequently perform responsibilities other than letter delivery. In certain countries, the postal or mailing telegraphs and telephone service is in charge of both the postal system and the telephone and telegraph services. Some countries' postal services provide for savings accounts and manage passport applications.
The inability to quickly obtain information on registered mails, such as recipient addresses and other necessary information for mail delivery, poses a severe barrier to various mail service providers, particularly the Nigerian Postal Service, Uyo. However, if implemented, this new system will put the aforementioned and expected concerns to rest, enhance mail registration and delivery, and overall functioning.
