Background of the Study
Digital identity systems have become integral to the management of student and faculty records in universities. Federal University, Gashua, Yobe State, requires a reliable method to manage and verify the identities of its students, faculty, and staff members, especially as more administrative processes and academic activities are digitized. Statement of the Problem
Federal University, Gashua, faces issues with its current identity management system, which is susceptible to data breaches, unauthorized access, and the risk of record tampering. Students, faculty, and staff members’ identities are vulnerable to theft or misuse, posing a risk to the integrity of academic records and university processes.
This study seeks to develop a blockchain-based digital identity system that enhances the security and reliability of identity management at the university.
