Background of the Study
Godswill Akpabio, as the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and the current Senate President of Nigeria, has had a significant role in shaping national security policies through legislative oversight. The Nigerian Senate plays a critical role in overseeing the executive’s actions, especially in sectors such as national security, defense, and law enforcement.
