Background of the Study

Cancer pain management is a critical aspect of patient care, yet many cancer patients do not have adequate access to pain relief due to various barriers, such as limited availability of pain medications, healthcare infrastructure, and public awareness. Oncology nurses, who are often at the forefront of patient care, can play a pivotal role in advocating for better access to pain relief. This study will assess the impact of oncology nurses’ advocacy efforts on improving pain relief accessibility for cancer patients at Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa.
