BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
The topic of unequal treatment of men and women is one that has been making headlines and resonating widely across society for decades. In order to examine this situation, one must try to get to the root of the problem and must understand the sociological factors that cause women to have a much more difficult time getting the same benefit, wages, and job opportunities as their male counterparts. As the problem of inequality in employment is one of the most pressing issues of today, one must try to get to the root of the problem in order to examine this situation (Stephan , 2022). It is important to examine all facts of the problem, but in order to fully tackle the issue on most recognize that this inequality in the work force is rooted in what shape future employees and employers – education. This inequality in the work force is rooted in what shape future employees and employers. The society in which we live has been shaped historically makes the policy makers have consistently been male. The research work will examine the inequalities in policy, actual teaching situations, admission to post-secondary institution, hiring and job benefits and wages. The situation will also tackle what is being done to solve this problem and what can be done to remedy the situation. the research work will examine the inequalities in policy, actual teaching situations, admission to post-secondary institution, hiring and job benefits and wages (Akinyi, 2022). Monrovia Street is a neighborhood that can be found in the Ungwan Rimi Gabasawa ward of the Kaduna North Local Government. It is the least populated area in the Gabasawa ward and is comparable to a GRA in that it is home to people who work in government, attend school, and run businesses, among other types of people. The population is comprised of several distinct tribes, including the Hausa, Yoruba, Gwari, Igbo, Nupe, and Katab, amongst others. The majority of individuals who live in Monrovia work for the government in some capacity; according to some estimates, eighty percent of the city's residents have jobs in the private or public sector. And of the 20% of them that are involved in commercial activities such as trade, tailoring, hair styling, and the like, the study shows that just 5% of those commercial activities are carried out by women, while 15% are carried out by males (Ballington, 2021). My research showed that women lagged behind males in terms of gaining meaningful jobs and participating in economic activities in the region. In light of the information presented above, a significant amount of work is anticipated to be put into efforts to close the gap that separates the sexes.
