Background of the Study
Sales forecasting is a critical aspect of retail management, as it allows businesses to predict future sales trends and make informed decisions regarding inventory, staffing, and marketing strategies. For grocery stores in Kebbi State, accurate sales forecasting is particularly important due to the perishable nature of many products and the need for efficient stock management. The retail industry faces increasing competition and fluctuating customer demand, making reliable sales forecasting techniques essential for sustaining profitability. This study aims to assess the sales forecasting techniques used by grocery stores in Kebbi State and determine their effectiveness in contributing to the success of these businesses.

Statement of the Problem
