Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Political awareness refers to the understanding and knowledge individuals have about political processes, issues, and candidates. It plays a critical role in shaping electoral participation, as informed voters are more likely to engage in voting and other forms of political involvement. In Kaura Namoda LGA, Zamfara State, political awareness has been shown to influence voter turnout and political engagement.
