1.1 Background of the Study
Political thuggery refers to the use of violence, intimidation, and other unlawful tactics by political actors to influence electoral outcomes. In Bauchi LGA, Bauchi State, political thuggery has been a significant problem, particularly during election periods, undermining the integrity of the electoral process. This study aims to assess the impact of political thuggery on electoral processes in Bauchi LGA, examining its effects on voter turnout, election results, and the overall legitimacy of elections.
