Chapter One: Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
Peace education is a vital tool for fostering social harmony and conflict resolution. In Jos North Local Government, Plateau State, recurrent conflicts underscore the need for sustained peacebuilding efforts. Print media plays an essential role in promoting peace education by providing platforms for dialogue, publishing conflict resolution strategies, and educating the public on the benefits of peaceful coexistence. This study examines the contributions of print media to peace education in Jos North.

Despite ongoing efforts to address conflicts in Jos North, tensions persist due to limited access to peace education and a lack of effective communication channels.
