Background of the Study

Street begging remains a persistent social issue in Hadejia Local Government Area, Jigawa State. Factors such as poverty, lack of education, and cultural practices contribute to its prevalence. Development communication can play a transformative role in addressing these factors by raising awareness, promoting alternative livelihoods, and encouraging community support programs.

1.2 Statement of the Problem

Despite efforts to curb street begging, it remains widespread in Hadejia, with negative implications for the community's development and image. Ineffective communication strategies and limited public engagement hinder sustainable solutions to this issue.
