1.1 Background of the Study
Traditional healing practices are a critical aspect of healthcare in many rural Nigerian communities, where access to modern healthcare services may be limited. In Akwanga Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, traditional healers continue to play a significant role in providing healthcare to local populations. These practices often involve the use of herbal medicine, spiritual healing, and other cultural rituals. Despite their importance, traditional healing practices are at risk of being lost due to modernization, globalization, and a decline in the number of practicing healers. 1.2 Statement of the Problem
