Background of the Study
Public health campaigns are vital tools for addressing health challenges, promoting disease prevention, and fostering healthy behaviors. Public relations (PR) plays a critical role in these campaigns by crafting compelling messages, engaging stakeholders, and leveraging media platforms to maximize reach and impact. In Bida Local Government Area (LGA), Niger State, PR efforts have been employed to promote health initiatives such as immunization drives, hygiene awareness, and malaria prevention. Research by Adewale and Bello (2023) highlights that strategic PR approaches can significantly enhance the effectiveness of public health campaigns by building trust, ensuring cultural relevance, and encouraging community participation. This study investigates the role of PR in promoting public health campaigns in Bida LGA, focusing on its strategies, challenges, and outcomes.

1.2 Statement of the Problem
Despite the implementation of various public health campaigns in Bida LGA, issues such as low awareness, misinformation, and community resistance persist, undermining the effectiveness of these initiatives. Poor communication strategies and limited stakeholder engagement often exacerbate these challenges. This study examines how PR can address these issues, exploring its role in enhancing the success of public health campaigns in Bida LGA.
