Background of the Study

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Northern Nigeria face numerous challenges, including financial management issues that threaten their sustainability. Managerial accounting practices, such as budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting, can provide SMEs with the tools they need to better manage their resources, improve decision-making, and ensure long-term sustainability. This study will explore how managerial accounting practices contribute to the sustainability of SMEs in Northern Nigeria.

Statement of the Problem

SMEs in Northern Nigeria often struggle with resource management, lack of proper financial planning, and inadequate accounting practices, which hinder their growth and sustainability.
