Background of the Study

This study will evaluate the cost control strategies employed by agricultural businesses in Takum LGA and assess their effectiveness in improving financial outcomes.

Statement of the Problem

Agricultural businesses in Takum LGA often struggle with managing operational costs due to factors such as fluctuating market prices, inefficiencies in resource use, and inadequate financial planning. Research Hypothesis

  1. H₀: Cost control mechanisms do not significantly improve the financial performance of agricultural businesses in Takum LGA.
  2. H₀: There is no significant relationship between the use of cost control mechanisms and profitability in agricultural businesses in Takum LGA.
  3. H₀: Challenges in implementing cost control mechanisms do not significantly affect the financial performance of agricultural businesses.

The findings could guide farmers, agricultural policymakers, and financial advisors in implementing more effective cost control strategies.
