Background of the Study

Youth unemployment remains a significant challenge in Mangu LGA, affecting both the social and economic fabric of the community. Tax incentives, often offered to encourage investment and create jobs, can potentially serve as a solution to this issue. By attracting businesses and encouraging them to hire young people, tax incentives may provide meaningful employment opportunities for the youth. This study examines the role of tax incentives in promoting youth employment in Mangu LGA and their impact on reducing unemployment rates.

Statement of the Problem

Mangu LGA faces high levels of youth unemployment, with limited opportunities for young people to engage in productive activities. While tax incentives have been proposed as a tool to stimulate investment and job creation, there is little empirical evidence on their effectiveness in addressing youth unemployment in this region. This study will explore how tax incentives influence youth employment and identify potential challenges and opportunities associated with their use.

This study aims to provide valuable insights into the role of tax incentives as a tool for promoting youth employment in Mangu LGA. The findings will help policymakers and local governments better understand how tax incentives can be designed to support job creation and reduce unemployment among young people.
