Background of the Study
Rural media serve as critical channels for disseminating agricultural information, particularly in regions where farming is the primary livelihood. In Yabo Local Government Area (LGA), Sokoto State, rural media platforms such as community radio, agricultural bulletins, and extension programs play a vital role in educating farmers on modern techniques, weather patterns, and market trends. According to Aliyu and Bello (2023), rural media bridge the gap between agricultural innovations and local farmers, enhancing productivity and sustainability. However, challenges such as limited access to media, low literacy levels, and inadequate funding often hinder the effectiveness of rural media in Yabo LGA.
