Background of the Study
Digital payment systems are increasingly being adopted by governments around the world to enhance tax collection and improve the efficiency of the tax system. In Ilorin East LGA, the introduction of digital payment systems aims to provide taxpayers with a convenient and secure method of paying their taxes. These systems are expected to reduce the risks of fraud, improve record-keeping, and increase the rate of timely tax payments. Despite the benefits, there is limited research on how digital payment systems influence tax collection in Ilorin East LGA.

This study aims to evaluate the role of digital payment systems in improving tax collection in the region, focusing on the ease of use, accessibility, and the impact on tax compliance.
