1.1 Background of the Study
Community theatre is a powerful medium for promoting events, as it combines entertainment with education to engage local audiences. In Ilorin East Local Government Area, Kwara State, community theatre has been utilized to promote cultural festivals, health campaigns, and social initiatives. By incorporating local languages, traditions, and storytelling techniques, community theatre resonates deeply with the audience, fostering awareness and participation.
