1.1 Background of the Study
Venue design is a critical factor influencing attendee comfort and overall event experience. In Argungu Local Government Area (LGA), Kebbi State, events such as the Argungu Fishing Festival attract large crowds, making venue design a key consideration for organizers. Effective venue design involves elements such as seating arrangements, accessibility, lighting, and ventilation, all of which contribute to attendee comfort. Research by Ibrahim and Abubakar (2023) highlights that poorly designed venues can lead to discomfort, reduced engagement, and negative perceptions of events. Conversely, well-designed venues enhance attendee satisfaction, encourage repeat attendance, and boost the reputation of the event. This study explores the impact of venue design on attendee comfort, focusing on events held in Argungu LGA.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Many events in Argungu LGA suffer from poor venue design, resulting in attendee discomfort and dissatisfaction. Issues such as inadequate seating, poor ventilation, and limited accessibility often detract from the event experience. Despite the significance of venue design, there is limited research on its impact on attendee comfort in Argungu LGA. This study addresses this gap by evaluating the influence of venue design on attendee comfort and overall event success.
