1.1 Background of the Study
Sound systems play a pivotal role in creating immersive and engaging experiences at events. In Zaria Local Government Area (LGA), Kaduna State, events such as weddings, cultural festivals, religious gatherings, and conferences rely heavily on sound systems to ensure effective communication and entertainment. Sound systems, encompassing microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and mixers, are essential for conveying messages, amplifying performances, and enhancing the overall atmosphere of events. Studies by Olumide and Hassan (2023) indicate that high-quality sound systems significantly influence audience satisfaction and event success. Despite the importance of sound systems, many events in Zaria LGA suffer from inadequate or poorly managed audio setups, leading to diminished audience experiences. This study investigates the effectiveness of sound systems in enhancing event experiences, focusing on their impact on audience satisfaction, communication, and overall event success.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Inadequate sound systems are a recurring issue in events organized in Zaria LGA. Poor audio quality often leads to audience dissatisfaction, miscommunication, and reduced engagement. Event organizers face challenges such as budget constraints, lack of technical expertise, and limited access to modern sound equipment, which hinder their ability to provide optimal audio experiences. Despite the significance of sound systems, there is limited research on their role in enhancing event experiences in Zaria LGA. This study aims to bridge this gap by evaluating the effectiveness of sound systems in creating memorable and impactful events.
