Background of the Study
Efficient tax administration is critical to ensuring sustainable revenue generation for governments at all levels. In Sokoto South LGA, effective tax administration is essential for funding public services, promoting local development, and ensuring compliance among taxpayers. The efficiency of tax administration depends on various factors, including the adequacy of tax laws, technological adoption, personnel competence, and enforcement mechanisms.

Despite its importance, tax administration in Sokoto South LGA faces several challenges, such as inadequate infrastructure, limited technological resources, and insufficient staff training. These inefficiencies hinder revenue collection and undermine trust in the tax system.
